EtchMaster® Pressure Regulated 4-Hole Adaptor

Pressure Regulated 4 Hole Adapter – self regulates to optimal air pressure regardless of chair airline setting. (compatible with 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 hole adaptors). (Note: water delivery port is sealed off)

How do I connect? Adaptor screws directly to the standard chair-side handpiece connector – universal compatibility (3 – 6 hole). Air flow is controlled via the standard chair-side foot pedal.

EtchMaster® Quick Disconnect Adaptor

This is a direct replacement for MicroEtcher type systems.
Adapter plugs into a Quick Disconnect (QD) type connection. Integral to the Quick Disconnect adapter is a miniature pressure regulator. The pressure regulator is pre-set to 40psi eliminating any patient sensitivity.

Air flow is controlled via a syringe type finger actuation
(Note: adapter is pressure limited so it may be connected to a high pressure air source without over-etching)

EtchMaster® 4 Hole Handpiece Adaptor

EtchMaster® 4 Hole Handpiece Adaptor for air abrasion and prophy.

PLEASE NOTE: This adaptor does not have a pressure regulator, so whatever air pressure you have, it will deliver when you press your footpedal.  The PR adaptor has a pressure regulator incorporated.

EtchMaster® Kavo Style Adapter

Adapter mounts directly to Kavo handpiece connector.  Air flow is controlled via the standard chairside foot pedal.  A Pencil Style handpiece provides easy reach
(Note: water delivery port is sealed off)

‘Ive been using EtchMaster for over 6 years. What’s so good about it? It’s got a very fine beam of alumina which goes exactly where you want it. Clean up is easy as it doesn’t create a huge mist of powder across the whole room as some other systems do. Another great feature is it fits on a 4 hole coupling. Very simple, clean way to get some air abrasion onto the teeth, and for adhesive dentistry this is a must. It’s a fantastic product.

I have been using the Etch Master for over a year now and would thoroughly recommend it, it gets used for nearly all my adhesive dentistry and is particularly useful for low retention Class B lesions and Cerec treatment.  The refills are quick and easy too fit onto the special adapter, and the metal nozzle can be conveniently bent to aim the flow exactly where you want it.   I would now not be without this product.

Air abrasion Made Easy: Dr Lee Ann Brady The Etchmaster from Groman dental, is one of the best pieces of small equipment I have in the office. It is small and easy to hold. It connects easily to the line on your operatory equipment. The powders, which come in a wide variety of different particle sizes and types come in pre-filled plastic inserts with their own tip. You simply connect the Etchmaster to the 3 or 4 hole line. Insert the appropriate pre-filled tip, pull out the tip and go. Add to this convenience that the price is right. My old air abrasion unit has been relegated to the lab and we use it to clean restorations.

Why You Should Be ‘Micro-Etching’ Prior To Bonding Dr Greggory Kinzer For the past few years, I have been using the EtchMaster from Groman Dental. This micro-etcher helps because it localizes the “spray” of the aluminum oxide in two ways.
First, the size of tip is very small so the direction of the spray can more easily be controlled. The other benefit of the small tip size is it helps limit the amount of over-spray.

Hi Brian
Thanks for asking me to try out the Etchmaster. This is a really neat bit of kit. As you know we use air abrasion quite a lot but the machine is quite big and sometimes we just want to etch an area to improve the adhesion, and to be honest, we sometimes don’t use it as much as we should.

The Etchmaster fits on the delivery unit in place of a normal handpiece and is just so easy to use. We’ve now used it to clean fissures prior to fissure sealing and I’m routinely using it when placing veneers.

I still use the main air abrasion machine for cavity prep, as it’s not strong enough for that. I think every practice should have one!

Kind regards
Teresa

Dear Melanie
Yes, the EtchMaster is excellent. It is by far the best sandblaster I have used (previous was Ronvig). The powder spray is precise and scatter is virtually none, keeping the rest of the mouth ‘clean’. It is easy to use all except for removing the used capsules. Pulling back the locking ring is stiff and tricky with one hand and then trying to pull out the capsule with the other hand is difficult. Therefore, I give it 9 out of 10; it looses the one point because of the removal problems of the capsule. However, I would recommend it to everyone.

Paul
